Copro­duc­tion Office’s CEO and foun­der Phil­ip­pe Bober has work­ed with pro­mi­nent ground-brea­king direc­tors* from ear­ly on in their care­ers and has pro­du­ced thir­ty-three films to date. The majo­ri­ty of the­se films were sel­ec­ted for the main com­pe­ti­ti­ons in Can­nes, Venice and Ber­lin, whe­re they have recei­ved many major pri­zes, most nota­b­ly the Venice Gol­den Lion in 2014 for Roy Andersson’s A PIGEON SAT ON A BRANCH REFLECTING ON EXISTENCE, and the Pal­me d’Or in 2017 and in 2022 for THE SQUARE and TRIANGLE OF SADNESS by Ruben Öst­lund. Copro­duc­tion Office’s inter­na­tio­nal sales divi­si­on dis­tri­bu­tes a cata­lo­gue com­po­sed of films pro­du­ced by Phil­ip­pe Bober as well as acqui­red titles and res­to­red clas­sics, inclu­ding Rober­to Rossellini’s key films. The cata­lo­gue is uni­que for its artis­tic strength, with films that have an indi­vi­du­al and distinc­ti­ve cine­ma­tic lan­guage, and often dar­ing con­tent.

As we con­ti­nue to expand our crea­ti­ve endea­vors, we are see­king a talen­ted and moti­va­ted indi­vi­du­al to join our team as a Per­so­nal Assistant to one of our estee­med Movie Direc­tor.

Job Out­line:

As the Per­so­nal Assistant to one of our Film Direc­tors, you will play a pivo­tal role in ensu­ring the smooth ope­ra­ti­on of our director’s busy sche­du­le and crea­ti­ve pro­jects. Your pri­ma­ry respon­si­bi­li­ties will include:

Orga­niza­tio­nal Skills: Mana­ging the director’s calen­dar, sche­du­ling mee­tings, and coor­di­na­ting appoint­ments to opti­mi­ze effi­ci­en­cy and pro­duc­ti­vi­ty.

Pro­blem-Sol­ving: Anti­ci­pa­ting and resol­ving logi­sti­cal chal­lenges to ensu­re seam­less pro­duc­tion pro­ces­ses and pro­ject exe­cu­ti­on.

Per­sis­tence and Asser­ti­ve­ness: Being asser­ti­ve and per­sua­si­ve in com­mu­ni­ca­ting the director’s needs and visi­on to various stake­hol­ders, and not accep­ting „no“ as an ans­wer when obs­ta­cles ari­se.

Rese­arch: Con­duc­ting tho­rough rese­arch on indus­try trends, poten­ti­al col­la­bo­ra­tors, and crea­ti­ve inspi­ra­ti­on to sup­port the director’s visi­on and pro­ject deve­lo­p­ment.

Inte­rest in Crea­ti­ve Indus­tries: Demons­t­ra­ting a genui­ne pas­si­on for the film indus­try and a deep under­stan­ding of its nuan­ces and intri­ca­ci­es.

Crea­ti­vi­ty and Open-Min­ded­ness: Col­la­bo­ra­ting with the direc­tor to brain­storm ide­as, pro­vi­de input, and con­tri­bu­te inno­va­ti­ve solu­ti­ons to crea­ti­ve chal­lenges.

Qua­li­fi­ca­ti­ons /​ You Are:

Pre­vious expe­ri­ence as a per­so­nal assistant or in a simi­lar admi­nis­tra­ti­ve role within the enter­tain­ment indus­try is pre­fer­red.

Excep­tio­nal orga­niza­tio­nal skills with the abili­ty to mul­ti­task and prio­ri­ti­ze effec­tively in a fast-paced envi­ron­ment.

Strong pro­blem-sol­ving abili­ties and a proac­ti­ve approach to addres­sing chal­lenges.

Asser­ti­ve com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on skills and the abili­ty to advo­ca­te for the director’s needs asser­tively.

Pro­fi­ci­en­cy in con­duc­ting tho­rough rese­arch and syn­the­si­zing infor­ma­ti­on from various sources.

Have a genui­ne inte­rest in the crea­ti­ve indus­tries, par­ti­cu­lar­ly film, tele­vi­si­on, and digi­tal media.

Crea­ti­vi­ty, fle­xi­bi­li­ty, and an open-min­ded approach to col­la­bo­ra­ting on diver­se crea­ti­ve pro­jects.

Pro­fi­ci­en­cy in Eng­lish and Ger­man lan­guages is man­da­to­ry, fluen­cy in French is a plus.
