Wir suchen Musi­ker oder eine Band, die mit uns ein krea­ti­ves No- oder Low-Bud­get Musik­vi­deo dre­hen möch­te. Mit dem Video wol­len wir uns unter ande­rem bei ver­schie­de­nen Music Video Awards bewer­ben und es auch als Refe­renz für unser Port­fo­lio nut­zen. Fil­m­e­quip­ment, Ideen und Moti­va­ti­on brin­gen wir mit.

CASTING CALL for SHORT FILM

UNPAID. We’re cas­ting for roles (inclu­ding two leads) in our inten­se, cha­rac­ter-dri­ven short film RAY & CASS pro­du­ced as part of the Cata­lyst Film School pro­gram.

RAY & CASS is a raw, noc­turnal odys­sey — an unre­len­ting jour­ney through a sin­gle night. Cass, unhin­ged and des­truc­ti­ve, careens through the city, biting stran­gers and ste­al­ing from the hel­p­less. Ray, drawn to him like a moth to a fla­me, lights match­sticks in a ner­vous ritu­al, test­ing fate. Their paths intert­wi­ne in sto­len cars, flee­ting moments of inti­ma­cy, and vio­lent out­bursts — a twis­ted bond for­ged from shared despe­ra­ti­on. In the back­ground, a home­l­ess pro­phet chants about divi­ne melo­dies, as faith col­l­i­des with cha­os.

This is an *unpaid stu­dent pro­ject* – the team is working on a vol­un­t­a­ry basis. Food, good ener­gy, and a dedi­ca­ted crew gua­ran­teed!

LEAD ROLES

CASS (Male Lead)
**Play­ing Age: 18–22

Vola­ti­le, magne­tic, emo­tio­nal­ly chao­tic. A mix of boy­ish charm and dan­ge­rous unpre­dic­ta­bi­li­ty. Deep­ly woun­ded with a twis­ted sen­se of jus­ti­ce. Con­stant­ly test­ing others, pushing boun­da­ries.

**Requi­re­ments:
Com­for­ta­ble with inten­se phy­si­cal­i­ty and emo­tio­nal extre­mes.

**Key Sce­nes Include:
– Con­fron­ta­ti­ons and phy­si­cal action (biting, fight­ing)

Car­ri­es trau­ma in her eyes. Once full of light, now dim­med by life and addic­tion. She exists bet­ween sub­mis­si­on and rebel­li­on. A fra­gi­le yet powerful pre­sence.

– Simu­la­ted drug use
– Emo­tio­nal mono­lo­gues and phy­si­cal con­fron­ta­ti­ons

Für eine 5teilige Kurz­film­rei­he suchen wir zwei Schau­spie­ler.
Flie­ßen­des Eng­lisch oder ein flie­ßen­des eng­lisch mit einem inter­es­san­ten Akzent einer ande­ren Spra­che ist wich­tig.
Es wird kein Deutsch vor­kom­men als Sprech­rol­le.
Gage ist nicht mög­lich und es wäre gut, wenn Du aus Ber­lin oder Ham­burg kommst.

Es wird an sehr inter­es­san­ten Loca­ti­ons in Ber­lin und/​oder Ham­burg gedreht.

Es wer­den wohl 2 Dreh­ter­mi­ne zu je 2 bis 3 Dreh­ta­gen, Ter­mi­ne wer­den dann gemein­sam ver­ein­bart, der für alle passt.

Syn­op­sis:
Es geht um MKult­rap, in Anleh­nung an MK-Ultra, ein Gedan­ken-Kon­troll­pro­gramm, das in den 1950er Jah­ren von der CIA gestar­tet wur­de. Die künst­le­ri­sche Aus­rich­tung ist eher düs­ter und soll stets am Rand oder im Under­ground blei­ben.

Ziel ist es eine beson­de­re Atmo­sphä­re zu schaf­fen, die Archi­tek­tur, Spio­na­ge und Under­ground-Ästhe­tik mit­ein­an­der ver­bin­det.

We are loo­king for 2 actors for a 5‑part short film series.
Flu­ent Eng­lish or flu­ent Eng­lish with an inte­res­t­ing accent of ano­ther lan­guage is important.
The­re will be no Ger­man as a spea­king role.
No sala­ry is pos­si­ble and it would be good if you are from Ber­lin or Ham­burg.

Film­ing will take place at very inte­res­t­ing loca­ti­ons in Ber­lin and/​or Ham­burg.

The­re will pro­ba­b­ly be 2 shoo­ting dates of 2 to 3 shoo­ting days each, dates will then be agreed tog­e­ther that suit ever­yo­ne.

Syn­op­sis:
It’s about MKult­rap, based on MK-Ultra, a mind-con­trol pro­gram laun­ched by the CIA in the 1950s. The artis­tic direc­tion is rather dark and should always remain on the frin­ge or under­ground.

The aim is to crea­te a spe­cial atmo­sphe­re that com­bi­nes archi­tec­tu­re, espio­na­ge and under­ground aes­the­tics.

URGENT CREW CALL – x2 GAFFER – SHORT FILM “NORMAN” (unpaid)

Dear all,

For our pas­si­on short film pro­ject, we are loo­king for:
A GAFFER with some expe­ri­ence and a good under­stan­ding of light sche­mes and a 2nd GAFFER/​ASSISTANT – with any degree of expe­ri­ence – to help them with the tasks and the equip­ment.

Short syn­op­sis: 
A dys­func­tion­al fami­ly gathers at the hos­pi­tal after their 75-year-old grand­fa­ther falls out of the win­dow. From his per­spec­ti­ve, we see how his fami­ly deals with his con­di­ti­on, his alle­ged sui­ci­de attempt, and, abo­ve all, their own pro­blems.

The shoo­ting will take place in Ber­lin later this week on 11/​4, 12/​4 and 14/​4. We will need you from the 10/​4 until the 15/​4.

This is a stu­dent pro­ject and it will be a gre­at oppor­tu­ni­ty for crea­ti­ves loo­king to gain expe­ri­ence and col­la­bo­ra­te with young film­ma­kers. While this is an unpaid posi­ti­on, cate­ring will be pro­vi­ded on set, and you’ll recei­ve cre­dit and foo­ta­ge for your port­fo­lio.

The film will be pre­mie­red in July 2025, during the Duemila30 film fes­ti­val in Milan, and will be sent to other fes­ti­vals throug­hout the year.

SET-AL für Kurz­film­pro­jekt UNSERE LIEDER der Film­aka­de­mie Baden-Wür­t­­te­m­­berg gesucht 21.04. – 25.04.2025

Wir suchen kurz­fris­tig eine Set­auf­nah­me­lei­tung für unse­ren Kurz­film­dreh zu UNSERE LIEDER von Dani­el Huss für den Zeit­raum 21.–25.04.2025 (5 DT) in Bran­den­burg (bei Ber­lin). Vor­er­fah­rung wäre super, ist aber nicht drin­gend erfor­der­lich.

Dani­el Huss stu­diert Regie im 4. Jahr an der Film­aka­de­mie Baden-Würt­tem­berg. Nach­dem er mit sei­nem letz­ten Pro­jekt den Deut­schen Kurz­film­preis gewon­nen hat, ste­cken wir nun in den Vor­be­rei­tun­gen für sei­nen nächs­ten Film UNSERE LIEDER.

Die Eck­da­ten für unse­ren Dreh sind wie folgt:

Dreh­ort: Mün­che­berg bei Ber­lin und Losen­ra­de
5 (von 11) Dreh­ta­ge: 21.04. – 25.04.2025

Syn­op­sis:
Michel (13) lebt mit sei­nen Geschwis­tern, sei­ner Groß­mutter und sei­nen Eltern am Ran­de der Elbe-Aland-Nie­de­rung. In der weit­läu­fi­ge Sumpf­land­schaft spie­gelt sich Michels kind­li­che Phan­ta­sie, die er mit sei­nem gro­ßen Bru­der teilt. Wenn er abends im Matrat­zen­la­ger neben sei­nen Geschwis­tern ein­schläft, begeg­nen ihm in sei­ner Phan­ta­sie musi­zie­ren­de Gestal­ten in bun­ten Gewän­dern. Wäh­rend Michel zuhau­se Teil der Fami­li­en­ge­mein­schaft ist, muss er in der Schu­le um die Aner­ken­nung der coo­len Jungs kämp­fen, um dazu­zu­ge­hö­ren. Hin- und her­ge­ris­sen zwi­schen den ver­schie­de­nen Rol­len, denen er in bei­den Gemein­schaf­ten gerecht wer­den will, beginnt Michel sei­ne Phan­ta­sie zu hin­ter­fra­gen. Die musi­zie­ren­den Gestal­ten schei­nen auf sei­ne Ent­wick­lung zu reagie­ren und Michel begibt sich in den Sümp­fen auf die Suche nach einer neu­en Unab­hän­gig­keit.

Da es sich um ein stu­die­ren­den Pro­jekt han­delt und wir nur ein begrenz­tes Bud­get haben, kön­nen wir lei­der kei­ne Gage zah­len. Dafür gibt’s ein moti­vier­tes Team, gutes Essen und selbst­ver­ständ­lich Cre­dits 🙂
