A Muslim soldier from Senegal and a German sociologist have a six-year-old daughter. Although they live separately, the spilt up family travels to Senegal together. While it is hard for him to get back on track in his homeland she becomes passionate with her ethnological work about female emancipation in Muslim societies. The film reflects about gender roles in an incoherent globalized world. How did this love between two different galaxies evolve and why did it break up? Is their child capable of unifying the two worlds or is it going to be the innocent victim...
