Until We Bleed
Charlotte is in her mid 20's but still acts like a little child sometimes. A dark secret burdens on her soul about which she does not want to speak - in fear to remember, in fear to open up. But this is exactly the point. Aron, 30, her boyfriend, tries to be most understanding but her almost pathological symptoms complicate it tremendously. When Charlotte does not come home one night the situation escalates and Charlotte is bound to deal with the consequences which she created herself.
Charlottes secret is only of her concern she thinks. Solitude, chances, physicalness, love, and the ability to open up are concepts which circle above the film as a vulture above his carcase. It is important to me to depict a state which makes it impossible for oneself to keep a healthy relationship. It is rather about a stagnating situation than about a process which inevitably results in a psychologically sickening symptomatology and can only come across misunderstanding. The film is about co-dependent love, and the still remaining boundaries to oneself, about struggling and still ending up alone at the end.
