The wedding anniversary

It's wedding anniversary. While Xenia, the wife of the scrap yard owner Gustav, sits in front of the television and waits for her husband to make her happy, a young man is shot by three gangsters not far from the scrap yard. Xenia realizes that she is waiting in vain and rises from her TV chair to leave Gustav. The goal: "Australia", "Adventure". But she doesn't get any further than to the scrap yard gate, where the three gangsters meet her with a flat tire. When Xenia discovers the body in the trunk of her car, a completely different adventure begins for her than she had imagined. A short trip to her possibilities and thus to herself.

Erika‘s madness

In one long shot the film introduces us to four characters who make each other depend on one another on an emotional and personal level. We observe the main character, the actress Erika- her body reacts fragile to her surrounding not attempting to build up closeness to her former doctor, maid and husband. She has no trust and disclaims that she is sick. She tries to convince herself she is still the great diva and actress everyone knows from theatre. Yet, we can only sense her former extensiveness and hard work. We do not see her as an actress anymore, but furthermore, she lets us have a gaze in her private room- the camera manages to show Erika’s bed- where the actress lounges as on theatre stage. She raises with pleasure very slowly giving her maid harsh instructions. Erika does not divines that people free themselves from her attitude. The main character hiding under a blond shiny wig will spend her last ten minutes in her house. Trapped in isolation the characters find themselves in miscommunication and the range between distance and intimacy. Furthermore, the attempt to overcome the hierarchy fails. We ask ourselve what attaches others to Erika. Why do they try to make Erika depend on them, building up certain structures where Erika should fit in, at the same time untighten the dependant relationship. The illusion between theatre and reality leads to madness.
