Snow
Turquoise tells a fictional childhood memory of Fatih Akin: Dali-like perspective. Never ending plains. Much sky and little land ground. A turquoise woolen thread coming from the horizon is all we see. A woman knits a woolen cap from the thread. Behind her we see her son.
The child receives the turquoise knitted cap from his motehr as a present. He goes to play with the other children in the snow. But he looses his woolen cap in the process. Spring arrives, snow melts. Water is eveywhere. The child can't find his cap. Then we see a photo of the boy on a wall. Soon we recognise the woolen thread running from the ball of wool lying on the table.
We look in the other direction and find the picture from the begining again. The never ending plains and the woolen thread all the way to horizon.
